What is Resistance Band Training?
When you hear about resistance bands, you probably start to picture the tubular bands with handles attached to each end. What we are talking about are the 41-inch continual giant rubber bands. These are completely different in construction, durability and functionality than the tubing bands. Through the binding of multiple layers of rubber, these bands are able to take a real beating while adding a limitless arsenal of movements and approaches to your training regimen. Their versatility and unmatched authentic feel throughout movement will have you wishing you had discovered them sooner.
Resistance bands add a component that no other device can. They allow your body to train by simulating movement patterns rather than free weight movements. Training in this manner allows you to incorporate more of your muscle system at one time during your workouts. The more muscle you recruit at once, the more energy is produced. There is no better way to burn fat than by multiple muscle involved with full body movements, in multi directions and at a high intensity.
With bands, you are able to recruit more muscle, faster. By providing progressive, variable resistance while your body is traveling through both the eccentric (negative) and concentric (positive) portions of a motion, bands teach your body to neuromuscularly handle both body acceleration and deceleration, while forcing the body to use more of a reactive component through the entire motion of any movement / exercise.

CAMP SESSION LAYOUTPERSONAL ASSESSMENT TIME**5 min before class (If you have an issue you need handled individually, please show up 5 min early to discuss with the trainer, or schedule an appointment)
This is the portion of the session where individuals can concentrate on corrective massage with the foam rollers, stretching of trouble areas, rehabilitation of the shoulders, loosening of the knees / week joints though mini squat actions thus igniting blood circulation which will all help begin the warm-up. This is also a great time for our trainers to circulate and talk to individuals about any session modifications that may need to take place due to injuries or other ailments. ACTIVE WARMThis section is comprised of both injury prevention foam rolling techniques and active muscle warm up. Here, the Boot Campers will perform a dynamic / active warm-up including a stretch routine, which will involve full body movement ranges in order to proprioceptively (body awareness and balance) awaken and loosen the body in order to prepare it for full body incorporated Boot Camp. This will enable us to be reactively prepared by providing elasticity throughout the muscular system, increased range of motion, mental preparation and preventing potential injuries.EXCERISE EXPLANATIONSEach individual excerise is discussed and preformed at all ability levels. Full explanation of what the correct form and expectations are. This is an open forum for questions about ability level or an individual excerise to be preformed. We offer at least 3 levels of ability for each excerise some have up to 7.BOOTCAMP TRAINING SESSION INCLUDING CARDIOThis is the meat and potatoes of our training. In this portion of the session we will be completing the implementation of all 5 components of physical fitness which are: Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Cardiovascular Endurance, Body Composition and Flexibility which has already been covered. This is where we will really be getting down to business while we push ourselves through our collaborative Boot Camp. Most of the movements in Camp will involve multiple joint axises and planes of motion, thus increasing the body muscle activation and reactivity per exercise. This will enable us to accomplish more with your body in a shorter period of time. The more muscle you activate at once, the more calories you will burn, and the more your body will learn to work in unison. We will be incorporating moves spanning from the likes of yoga, pilates, strength training, resistance band training, core reactivity training, cardiovascular training, kick boxing, plyometric footwork reactivity, med-ball training and much more.ACTIVE COOL DOWNYes!! We did it. Alright, time to let that heart rate recover and begin to redistribute and recirculate evenly throughout the body. At this time, your muscles will also be returning to their original resting lengths.TRAINER QUESTION AND ANSWER TIMEThis is the end of the session where you are able to approach me with any questions you may have about your training, or nutrition information you may need clarified.
